What to do when we hit a rock?

Our installation equipment can screw piles through soil containing moderate sized rocks. Our machines generate the appropriate torque so that the helix can move rocks out of the way. If need be, the boom can be articulated in order to “steer” the helix around the rock during installation. In the case of larger rocks, the pile can be “pinned” to shallow bedrock, or it can be left it on the rock if it is below frost depth. In rare instances, some terrains are too rocky to install helical piles and a different type of foundation will need to be considered.
